Tour Description
The experience begins at the operational base located in El Chalten (Av. San Martin 872). The guides deliver the equipment
technical and security, necessary to carry out the activity. Once equipped, about 5 will be transported by van.

The river is calm waters, with meanders that allow you to have beautiful views of Cerro Fitz Roy and its satellite needles. In
total about 6 km in which you can enjoy crossing areas of Andean forest and the exit towards the steppe. It is common to see
birds (condors, cauquenes, bandurrias, among many others) and native fauna (foxes, mulitas, guanacos). In this section
It allows you to contemplate the landscape and practice rowing and safety techniques. In the second section, 10 km, the river
encases in a natural canyon, generating about 20 rapids from class III to III +.
It is approximately two hours of navigation along the Río de las Vueltas, with time to contemplate and a good dose
of action and adrenaline. Upon disembarking, a comforting snack is offered (hot drink and something delicious to eat). From
the RP 23 bridge, the vehicle waits to return to the operational base.
Itinerary
Departure from Hotels or from the Operational Base in - Minimum 2 people.
• Meeting place: at the operational base (Av. San Martin 872). You must arrive 15 minutes before departure time.

• Minimum age: 12 years. Minors between 12 and 18 years old who wish to carry out the activity must be
accompanied by one of their parents.
• Difficulty: moderate. Suitable for those who do not have experience in rafting.
• Navigation Time: 1:30 to 2:00 hours depending on weather conditions and river flow.
• Transfer time: 20 minutes per route from km 12 of the RP23 (cement bridge), where the
rafting, to the operational base.
• Total duration: 3 hours to 3 and a half hours.
• Maximum passenger capacity per descent: 16 (sixteen).
• Maximum passenger capacity per raft: 8 (eight).
• Rapid category III to III +.
